Moran Mano is a businessman who is active in the maritime, hospitality and real estate industries. He is the  CEO of Mano Maritime Ltd and a former Honorary Consul. Was born in Haifa, Israel. Married to Alina Mano and have two daughters. Moran Mano graduated in the UnitedKingdom Maritime Business, Bs.c (Hons) and Maritime Law, L.L.M

In 1932, at the height of the Fifth Aliyah (1929–1939), Moran Mano’s grandfather, Mordechai Mano, emigrated with his parents from Thessaloniki, Greece to what is now Israel, along with other Greek workers who contributed to the construction of the Port of Haifa. Abba Hushi, who was head of the Workers’ Council in Haifa at the time, travelled to Thessaloniki in order to persuade Jewish workers to make Aliyah. Among the 100 families that agreed to relocate were members of the Mano family including Mordechai, who was only 12 years old at the time. This relocation allowed the families to escape the Holocaust, during which the Jews in Thessaloniki were persecuted and killed. Moshe Mano, the father of Moran Mano, is the founder and Chairman of the Mano Holdings Group, which includes Mano Maritime Ltd., Mano Holidays Ltd. and Bambook Properties Ltd. Moran Mano as the third generation in the business has developed expertise in shipping and maritime since his childhood. As a young boy, he was exposed to business interactions, paid a visit to the ports and shipping operation as well as visits in the company’s offices. He became well familiar with the business interactions and etiquette.

Career and Education

Moran Mano started his first steps in shipping since his childhood, accompanying his father in visits onboard cargo ships and passengers ships. Moran has absorbed the shipping experience over many years. in 2002-2005 Moran joined the Israeli Navy, during his service he was bestowed a mark of excellence. Thereafter he moved to the United Kingdom for studies at the Southampton Solent University studying Maritime Business B.Sc. He completed the degree with First Class honours. Later, Moran Mano continued his studies at the University of London- University College London (UCL) in Masters of Laws and was bestowed a Master with Merit and with specialization in Maritime Law. Following the studies, Moran continued his career development joining Mano Holdings Group - Mano Maritime Ltd, working along with his father, Moshe Mano. He is currently acting as the Vice President and Executive Manager of the company. Mano Holdings Group and Mano Maritime is one of the largest shipping companies in Israel and is involved in various business activities, such as cargo ships, passenger ships and other maritime services. The company is one of the leading companies in the internationally known "Dun’ ranking" and also includes in BDI Code of leading companies in Israel: He is also acting as Director of Crown Shipping Ltd which is the exclusive Agents and Representatives Ocean Network Express (ONE), a large scale Japanese shipping company that is one of the largest container shipping companies on the globe.

Social and community activities

Moran Mano is strongly active in bilateral relations between Israel and related countries . In addition, he is active in the Israel Chamber of Shipping as well as a representative of Mano Maritime Ltd in the Chamber of Commerce (Haifa & North of Israel)
